Choose from any one of 12 races and 14 classes and begin your quest for fame and fortune. The game system borrows heavily from its MUD, MUSH, MUME predecessors. Your goal is to increase your wealth and experience allowing you to purchase better equipment and learn new skills.
Unlike other role-playing games Everquest requires you to play online with an average of 24,000 player simultaneously. The universe which the folks at 989 have created is large, immersive and persistent, meaning that the story continues even when you log out.
