Both Guild Wars will coexist

It seems there were some concerns about the future of the original Guild Wars, particularly after the significant amount of attention Guild Wars 2 is getting of late. And so ArenaNet decided to clarify things.

When Guild Wars 2 is released, the servers from the original Guild Wars will remain active and the game will continue to be supported. It’s not the first time something like this happens, EverQuest is a good example of the kind.
