Guild Wars – ArenaNet
ArenaNet’s artists are indeed some of the best in the industry – although male character models in Guild Wars mostly look like metrosexuals. No problem with the females, though, as beautiful as they come.
Knowing that, not only they show up in some covers but mostly in wallpapers. There’s nothing like a beautiful elf or ranger to make you want invest your hard-earned cash in a MMO.

Hellgate: London – Flagship Studios
It’s not like Flagship Studios tried to sell Hellgate: London based on Avalon’s – a female Templar – attributes. In fact, it was mostly advertised as a Diablo in 3D, including randomized weapon and armor attributes, item drops, mob spawns and level composition.
However, the fact is that Hellgate: London failed and the thing that will remain – besides some obscure publisher acquiring the rights and still running the game in Korea – is that Avalon posed for Playboy still during development. Not at all necessary, and pretty much far from the apocalyptic spirit of Hellgate: London.

Tabula Rasa – NCsoft
We’ve talked about Tabula Rasa a lot in MMORPG Gate, and yet it still returns frequently to our features, not for the best reasons. This time it’s because of Sarah Morrison, the beautiful soldier splattered all over the game box, and also visible in trailers and loads of wallpapers.
As if it wasn’t enough, she also accepted an invitation from Playboy – yes, you too can say it as if she was a real person, just for fun – that, incidentally, didn’t do much for Tabula Rasa’s sales.

The Agency - Sony Online Entertainment
Sony Online Entertainment’s “spy’em up” couldn’t do without the glamour so typical of the espionage world. It looks like Cassie, in the shot below dressed in black leather, is the Vesper Lynd of The Agency.

World of Warcraft – Blizzard
Even something huge as World of Warcraft can get that extra push from a few beautiful scantily clad female elves or mages. Not that Blizzard actually needed, but everybody loves an elf – well, maybe except for the makers of Global Agenda.
