
First, the game is in production for 18 months, but the tentative release date is 2011. The game will be free-to-play, possibly in the manner of Guild Wars (no subscription needed). So far development of this MMO cost the company $20m.
In addition, Cryptic Studios has the Xbox 360 version of Champions Online ready to go, but it's unlikely it will be released this year, since Microsoft is still dealing with their internal MMO policy. NCsoft, makers of Aion, also admitted that its partnership with Sony to bring MMO titles to PS3 has been abruptly ended.
