Things aren't easy for CrimeCraft. After significant staff changes affecting developer Vogster Entertainment and the inclusion of a free to play model, now the MMO shooter is banned in Australia. CrimeCraft has been refused classification by the Australian Classification Board, therefore being banned in the country.

The ban wasn't due to the violence theme, but a consequence of "drug use related to incentives or rewards". The fictional drug called Boost is used to improve players' abilities.

Australia and Germany are known for frequent bans, among them Grand Theft Auto and Manhunt series, and also responsible for the release of revised versions, like Fallout 3.
