Sony Online Entertainment is hard at work on MMO shooter The Agency, but haven't really talked much about it lately. So, when a trademark for The Agency Covert Ops is found the rumors abound.

Could it be a name change, perhaps a spin-off, an expansion or even a full fledged sequel? Massively.com contacted SOE for a statement and here's what they got: "We are always trying to plan ahead for our titles in development and at times that means acquiring TM's or URL's that we feel we may want to own in the future. At this point SOE has made no official announcement regarding this Covert Ops TM and any information in the marketplace about it is premature."

We'll have to wait and see.
