FFXIV testing begins 11th March

Final Fantasy XIV MMORPGThe closed beta testing for MMO Final Fantasy XIV is about to begin. This was announced by Square Enix during the VanaFest 2010 convention in Tokyo. However, the tests will only be open to a selected few, and those few are players from the Final Fantasy XI fanbase.

The test is scheduled to go live next week, on 11th March, and the VanaFest 2010 site also lays out the plans for Final Fantasy XI in 2010. These include three add-ons, called Vision of Abyssea (June), Scars of Abyssea (September) and Heroes of Abyssea (December). A major content update is also expected in March.
