Champions Online goes free-to-play

Cryptic Studios announced that Champions Online will go free-to-play in Q1 2011. The free-to-play beta will begin on November 9.

Champions Online will offer two options: a Gold account for current and future subscribers, allowing complete access to new content. The Silver account is for the F2P users, with the optional content available through the C-Store and the use of Cryptic Points to purchase.
